This cozy plastic-free, polyester-free 100% organic cotton jacket is made from our famed 100% organic cotton fleece that is brushed on both sides for ultra softness and warmth. The organic sweat jacket comes in unisex sizes XS - 3XL, with two side pockets. Premium metal YKK zippers, made with recycled components. Wash on gentle cycle (core-less or front loading machines are best; or put the jacket in a laundry mesh bag). Make sure jacket is unzipped during washing & drying, to avoid warping. We recommend drying flat on a sweater rack (no dryer).

A knit whose back, or both sides, is brushed until the fibers stand up and trap warm air. Cotton fleece is sweatshirt fabric and polyester fleece is the outdoor kind.
It's warm and soft. Brushing takes away some of a knit's give, so most of the stretch in a fleece comes from elastane in the blend. Brushed synthetic fleece sheds more fibers in the wash than a flat knit of the same fiber, and it can pill.
