Is Vuori Non-Toxic? PFAS Evidence and Product Materials
Short answer: the available evidence does not support a brand-wide “non-toxic” or PFAS-free verdict for Vuori. Product fiber labels can support material comparisons, but they do not identify every finish or chemical treatment. Check the exact item and the scope of any current PFAS-free or fluorine-free statement.
What the available PFAS evidence says
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says PFAS can be used in textiles, including finishes that make fabrics resist water, oil, grease, or stains. That means fiber composition alone cannot establish the PFAS status of a finished garment.
Vuori's current public impact page describes efforts to reduce the chemical footprint of its products, but it does not provide product-by-product PFAS status. In a 2022 response reported by Environmental Health News, Vuori said it tested products designed to repel water or other substances against PFAS on an industry restricted-substances list. That is narrower than a current, brand-wide PFAS-free claim.
Greener Closet has not independently lab-tested Vuori garments for PFAS. A missing disclosure is unknown—not proof that PFAS are present or absent.
